Vasile Romulus BRÂNCOVEANU
Professor Romulus Brâncoveanu gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and History from the University of Bucharest (1982), where he later acquired a doctorate in Philosophy (1996). Since 2008, he has been professor at the Faculty of Philosophy. Between 1998 and 2008 Brâncoveanu worked as lecturer and associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy; between 2002 and 2008 he served as Deputy Dean of this institution. In all these positions, he was active in developing the management of education and research. He has published extensively on topics related to democracy, governance and education, with a particular focus on public reason and the epistemology of social sciences. Professor Brâncoveanu is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Inter-cultural and Inter-religious Exchanges, and editor of the peer-reviewed journal Public Reason.

Lilian CIACHIR earned his BA in Theology from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology at the University of Bucharest in 1999. Actually he is PhD Candidate in Business Administration at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Since the creation in 1999 of the UNESCO Chair in Inter-cultural and Inter-religious Exchanges, Lilian was involved as Scientific Collaborator and as Coordinator of the activities and programs of the UNESCO Chair. Actually Lilian coordinate the three master programs organized by the UNESCO Chair within the Faculty of Philosophy in partnership with the Swiss Institute for Sustainable Management (SISM) Geneva, and the Universities of Fribourg and Geneva, Hamburg, Dortmund and Corte.
